Established in 1926, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad has an architecturally stunning 218-acre campus with an additional 225 acre land under construction. This Institute of National importance lies in the state of Jharkhand, which can be translated as ‘The Land of the Trees’ and has a wonderful climate throughout the year .
The campus is equipped with 11 hostels for students, including a hostel for international students. IIT (ISM) boasts one of the biggest libraries of the country, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The institute provides 24X7 health center services. The campus also has a fully functional swimming pool and gymnasium. There are student canteens spread across the campus for refreshments. The campus supports various sports facilities like football, cricket, hockey, volleyball, basketball, squash, etc. The institute also offers a Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship, which empowers students to set up various start-ups
The Government of India offers 1 scholarship slot for the academic year 2024-2025, to meritorius Belizeans students, for pursuing, post graduate studies in recognized universities/colleges/educational institutes in India.
With respect of the processing of applications for academic session 2024-2025, the ICCR has introduced the Study in India website: https://studyinindia.gov.in/admission/registrations where students will have to fill up an online application.
The students must have sufficient proficiency in English language; they should meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the respective courses and do due diligence themselves on the specific admission criteria laid by various universities for each subject and their desired fields of study and they must submit all relevant documentation, as required by the concerned universities, in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form latest by Tuesday, 31. May 2020.
