Q1. Can I access the website and its resources without logging in?

  • Yes, the website and its resources can be accessed without logging in. Please visit https://ir.iitism.ac.in/ to see it. You need to log in only to access the application portal, to apply for opportunities.

Q2. How do I register?

  • To get yourself registered, click on the Login/Registration option on the top right corner of the International Relationships (IR) website https://ir.iitism.ac.in/ or you can visit https://ir.iitism.ac.in/information-portal/register.php and you will be automatically redirected to the registration page. There you will find that there are different portals for registration for the existing IIT (ISM) students and the International Students, choose accordingly, and enter the required details.

Q3. I have trouble logging in/ registering. Whom can I get in touch with?

  • If you have forgotten the password, you can choose the ‘Forgot password’ option in the login page. On entering your email address, you will receive an email with your new login details. For any other issues, you can contact us at contact.ir@iitism.ac.in

Q4. What courses are offered by the institute?

  • The courses offered can be found department-wise on the homepage of the IR website https://ir.iitism.ac.in/ under the ‘What we offer’ subheading.

Q1. Where can I find internship opportunities available for me?

  • Select the ‘IIT (ISM) students’ option in the ‘Students’ dropdown on the homepage of the IR website and click on ‘Opportunities’. You will then be redirected to the opportunities page https://ir.iitism.ac.in/information-portal/iitism-students-opportunities.php. Details regarding various internship and scholarship programs along with their deadlines and other important information can be found here.

Q2. How do I participate in a Semester Exchange Program?

  • The institute does not have dedicated semester exchange programs with any university, but we have various MOUs with 31 universities from across the world, the details of which can be found in the ‘Programs’ page of the website https://ir.iitism.ac.in/information-portal/iitism-students-programs.php with which Semester Exchange Programs can take place. You can get in touch with the respective faculty in the university you wish to partake a SEP in, and after getting the necessary approvals and documents, apply for the IRAA office’s approval of it.

  • The institute’s campus is equipped with state-of-the-art academic, hostel and sports facilities to ensure comfort to the utmost degree, with an au courant international hostel, a multi-storey Student Activity Center, a prodigious Central Library, two sweeping playgrounds, a well-furnished Sports Complex, an open air theatre, a Computer Center, an eminent geological museum, a seismological observatory, and an up-to-the-minute Health Center to name a few. All of the hostels are provided with the basic amenities, i.e., a mess, a canteen, a juice center, a stationary shop, a TV room, an indoor sports room and laundry facilities. The two sprawling grounds, the squash complex, or perhaps the swimming pool might pique the interest of a sports enthusiast. The Health Center is visited by specialists every week as per a designated schedule, and is always prepared for the worst with a 24×7 emergency room and ambulance service.
